The foundation Fomaco A/S was founded in 1976 as a trading company for equipment and machinery for the food processing industry. During 1978 Fomaco established Stevns Maskinfabrik A/S in order to start the development and manufacturing of Fomaco equipment. With the aim of developing, manufacturing and selling reliable accurate injectors, tenderisers and similar food processing equipment and in order to rationalise the further processing of a variety of meat products, Fomaco rapidly increased its global market share. As the company continued to grow and show a healthy development, by 1989 we decided to establish a new modern plant in Køge, south of Copenhagen. Shortly after moving to the new premises Stevns Maskinfabrik A/S was merged with Fomaco and the production moved to the same facility in Køge.
